About LightBridge™

Empowering Next-Generation Photonic Integration

LightBridge™ is redefining optical fiber connections with contactless solutions for challenging environments and edge computing.
We make connectivity simple, powerful and ready for the future.

Contactless Connectivity. Unlimited Scalability

LightBridge™ introduces an innovative approach to optical fiber connectivity. Leveraging cutting-edge Expanded Beam (EB) contactless technology, our patent pending technology offers unparalleled scalability, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

First samples release towards Q2 2026

Our technology strengthens your network

LightBridge™ patent pending technology is based on integrated, wafer-level photonics with minimal human operations. This results in contactless connectivity with unmatched precision and scalability. LightBridge™ design eliminates the temperature and wavelength dependence of the optics for consistent performance.

A comparative study of physical contact (PC) and expanded beam (EB) connectors performed a few years ago showed that EB connectors suffer from many defaults (circled in red). The LightBridge technology has been especially developed in order to solve these problems and provide outstanding performance without increasing the price of the connectors.

Preliminary specifications

We present here preliminary specifications based on simulations. Experimental specifications will be posted here in Q2 2025.

cable Based on MPO/MT standards

cable Achromatic design (850-1550 nm range)

cable Sealed component

cable 12 to up to 96 fiber connections in parallel

cable Insertion Loss < 0.7dB (simulations)

cable Contactless, expanded beam technology

cable Athermal design (-40°C→+150°C)

cable SM and MM fibers

cable Easy or no cleaning

cable Return Loss > 55dB (for APC) (calculations)

Our technology strengthens your network

We are currently introducing the Harsh series designed for multimode fibers and 850nm to 1550nm wavelength. They are available as chips that can be mounted on MPO/MT ferrules, or already mounted on an MPO/MT ferrule.

The following options are currently available:

cable 1 to 4 rows of 12 fibers (250 microns pitch)

cable 1 and 2 rows of 16 fibers (165 microns pitch)
